Hinckley Baptist Church was formed in 1766 and built its own premises in the centre of town which was completed in 1807. As you can imagine in that time we have had our ups and downs, our times of blessing and trials. However, we know that God is with us all the time, that He is a faithful God and we look to Him as our Saviour and Provider.

We recognise that sometimes walking into a church can be a daunting experience, so after every morning service we get together for a coffee and this is when we enjoy meeting and talking to new people. If you are attending our service for the first time please do join us for coffee (or tea!) so that we can get to know you.

We have a fellowship of around 150 members who attend on a Sunday morning which includes our children and young people which number about 60. However, to us faith isnt just about Sunday worship its also about our everyday lives.

We have a number of Life Groups that meet at various times during the week which are our support networks and they also give us opportunity to learn more about our Christian faith and how we apply it to our lives. This is the place where we share our times of joys and of sorrows and where we learn that we are just a bunch or ordinary people trying to be more Christlike. Various courses are available in order to learn more about the Christian Faith and what it means to be a member of this church. For details of these and the other activities that take place over the week please look at our Activities Pages.
