FRIDAY NIGHT CYBER CAFÉ

CONSTITUTION

1.Name

The name of the Café meeting at Hinckley Baptist Church will be known as FRNCC (Friday Night Cyber Café).

2.Aims

The aims of FRNCC are:

  1. To provide a safe and supervised environment for 11- 18 year olds
  2. To provide a structured and supervised cyber café
  3. To develop young people’s life skills through good practice of behaviour, conduct and socialisation
  4. To enable young people to enjoy themselves

3.Powers

For the furtherance of these aims FRNCC will:

  1. A fixed fee will be collected per young person per night
  2. Oversee the admission of young people and if appropriate require parents to withdraw them
  3. Ensure written policies are carried out, and where necessary set up procedures to deal with any issues that may be in breach of these policies
  4. Provide accommodation and equipment

4.Membership

FRNCC is an open youth club for young people aged between 11 and 18. 

11 – 18 year olds can attend between 7 and 9 pm

5.General meetings

General Meetings will be held on a quarterly basis and will require all members as far as possible.

An Annual General Meeting will be held in January each year where audited accounts and any updated policies will be presented

6.Committee Structure

The Committee is made up of 6 officers (Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and 3 others)

The members are made up of all those helpers of FRNCC together with the Minister from Hinckley Baptist Church.

7.Finance

The Treasurer shall keep proper accounts of the finances of FRNCC.  At each meeting the Treasurer will present an update of the accounts.

All cheques shall be signed by two Officers one of whom will normally be the Treasurer.

At the end of the financial year the accounts should be prepared for audit by Hinckley Baptist Church’s auditors.

The funds of FRNCC shall be used for the purposes of the youth club and no payment should be made to any member, except:

  1. As repayment of expenses properly incurred on behalf of FRNCC

8.Dissolution

If members decide to close FRNCC any funds or equipment remaining after all debts have been paid shall be offered to the Minister of Hinckley Baptist Church to dispose of as appropriate to a similar organisation.

9.Changes to Constitution

This Constitution may only be altered if:

a)         Two thirds of the members present at the general meeting vote in favour of any proposed changes

  1. Any proposed changes are submitted in writing to all members and a special general meeting is called no sooner than two months after written notice has been given out.
